Located at the famous Crossroads where the Memphis & Charleston and the Mobile & Ohio railroads made Corinth the most strategic transportation hub during the Civil War, the museum sits only a few feet from the original tracks. The crossroads still enjoys frequent traffic as Norfolk Southern and Kansas City send dozens of freight trains through Corinth each day. Visitorís can get a glimpse of the historic crossroads from the safety of the museum's interior gallery.
Home to many artifacts detailing the history of Northern Mississippi, the Crossroads Museum offers permanent exhibit items featuring Civil War relics, depot and railroad industry displays, fossils, American Indian artifacts and aviation memorabilia.
On loan from Corinth Coca-Cola Bottling Works, the museum is also home to more than 1,000 pieces of authentic Coca-Cola memorabilia, including a large collection of old fashioned drink machines from years gone by. Visit the gift shop for a refreshing Coca-Cola in a glass bottle.
Also on the museum grounds, visitorsí can view a bright red retired caboose. The attraction is open to the public during normal museum hours. Adjacent to the museum sits a Civil War cannon and carriage. The cannon was used during the Battle of Shiloh.
